How a Few Drops Changed My Whole Life!

sneezing

Not long ago, I was up to my neck in hefty medical bills, sick kids missing school, and wasted days feeling sick and cruddy. I’m not the type of mom who races her kids to the doctor, but on several occasions that’s what we had to do with sick kids who were not getting better. “Flu season” can wipe out a family for weeks, in more ways than one.

Our youngest little daughter really had a tough time with this season’s illnesses. 🙁 🙁 🙁

But honestly, a huge blessing came as the result of all of it. My super nice neighbor had been sharing with me about how she was using essential oils for this and that. She was excited (and always smelled nice), but I just nodded nicely. I’m all for alternative methods of healthcare, but I never thought of essential oils as anything more than making things smell nice.

That is until one morning I was over at her house to pick up our one healthy child who had been over to play. As we chatted, I mentioned to my neighbor that I’d been so congested with a sore throat for a couple days. Her eyes lit up and she handed me a little bottle and said, “This will kick it’s butt!” She told me to rub a couple drops on my feet or chest and it would help. Yes, I did want to roll my eyes when she said that. But I was the sick one, and she stood there perfectly healthy and holding out a small bottle. So I graciously accepted the bottle and went home and did what she said.

(I tested a small amount first. Some people may be more sensitive to it.)

WITHIN 30 MINUTES, I WAS FEELING AS GOOD AS NEW.

Like a good mom, I grabbed all my sick kids (and poor, sniffling husband), and did the same thing for them. It worked for them as well! Within a few days, our home was free of aches, sniffles, and sneezes, including my teenager, who’d had a very stubborn cough for what seemed like an eternity.

A few weeks later, I began coming down with what felt like the flu, and within hours of using this special little bottle, I was fine. Nothing ever came of the sore throat, chills, and aches I was experiencing. Another miracle.

Immunity Blend

Who knew that a few drops of oil could change a family’s life so quickly?

I WAS 100% CONVINCED AT THIS POINT

Not only were we quickly eliminating cold and flu symptoms, but we were also nipping things in the bud before they exploded into an illness. Not only that, we were doing it safely and naturally, no harsh drugs and chemicals. This essential oil blend has the power to fight viruses, bacteria, fungus, and more. Not bad for a tiny little bottle, right?

But what I didn’t understand was this: If this worked so well, then why do so many of us keep depending solely on pharamaceuticals and factory derived medicines when we get sick? I don’t want to get into conversations about “big pharma” and all that. What I DO think, however, is that most people think the exact same thing that I thought when my neighbor first told me about essential oils, that they’re for smelling good and feeling nice, without any real therapeutic or medicinal qualities.

I’m not sure how our culture decided to trivialize the power of essential oils, because other cultures have not. The people of Japan, for example, use essential oils regularly. Not only is the country of Japan reputable for overall health, but the Japanese government currently has on record over 50,000 people living over the age of 100! That’s one healthy country! Can we learn something from them?

Essential oils are basically the highly concentrated essence of the plant. We know plants are vital sources of antioxidants, antivirals, antibacterials, vitamins & minerals, phytonutrients, and more. So think of a drop of essential oil as the ultra-concentrated, highly potent, antioxidant-rich, power punch from the plant. There’s much more to it than just that, but thinking of it that way is a great start!

OK, OK, I’LL TELL YOU THE NAME OF THIS MIRACLE BOTTLE

The little miracle bottle is called Pure Blend™ Immunity Blend. It contains oils of clove, cinnamon, lemon, lime, eucalyptus, rosemary, peppermint, spearmint and oregano. According to the company, this unique blend has been formulated to boost immunity and eradicate germs, viruses, and other toxins.

I did some research on Pure Blend™ Immunity. They’re basically a small group of people who were intimately familiar with the power of essential oils, but also disturbed that the essential oils market was just a mess of overpriced, low quality oils. The industry has no real standard or quality control, so you can go buy oils from Wal-Mart or Whole Foods, but you have no clue about the quality of the actual oil in the bottles. And the quality of the oil—from planting, to harvest, to extraction—is critical.

So this company created their own internal grading quality system, and adhere to it strictly. They call it their 100% PURE Promise. They even went a step further and had it tested by a 3rd party and it passed strict GC/MS Testing with flying colors and is probably one of the most pure blends you can get today. Their first product is actually the Immunity Blend that has literally pulled my family out from the sick house. They have plans to soon produce more oils and blends, but the overnight success of the Immunity Blend has overwhelmend their production, and they refuse to cut corners to get products out quicker.

Roll on

The cool thing about their Immunity Blend Kit is that it not only comes with the pure Immunity blend, but it also comes with a pre-diluted roll on oil that you can roll on you or your kids skin for maximum absorption of the all natural immunity benefits!

So I recommend you pick up the Immunity Blend Kit RIGHT NOW, while it’s still available. Here’s a link to their discount offer. Immunity BlendPure Blend™ Immunity Essential Oil Blend

I think it’s odd that they’re offering a trial of Pure Blend™ Immunity, because I don’t think they need to. You can try the trial kit if you’d like, but I would recommend you get the full-bottle package. Basically you get the Immunity Kit and after you buy it you will see a 100% pure carrier oil that you can add to your order for cheap. It is a much better price than the one he told me they would begin with. (I think they start at $60 for a one-month supply.)

So take advantage of either the trial bottle with a monthly autoship, or the full-bottle package for $30.

Immune

Thanks to Pure Blend™ Immunity, I have my family back! 🙂 🙂 🙂

P.S. Just to be clear, this is a retail company. It isn’t a network marketing company, or an MLM, or anything like that. You don’t have to become a distributor, or pay a membership fee. They just make a great product and sell it. It will even be on Amazon.com soon!

P.P.S. Essential oils are powerful and highly concentrated. Therefore, be sure to reduce the amount you use on kids under 12. And don’t use it on kids 6 and under unless you’ve talked with your doctor.

UPDATE: OK, someone from Pure Blend™ Immunity read this article and sent me an email to clarify a few things. He wanted to make it clear that the trial bottle is only temporary until they get a larger base of happy customers and more positive testimonials about Pure Blend™ Immunity. He also said the three-bottle package is only available at that website, and not anywhere else. Also, it is formulated in a GMP certified facility using 100% natural ingredients. I hope that clarifies any questions you have. Better get them at these prices while you can.

I bought it and the kit had the bottle of immunity and then a roller ball full. Is the carrier oil already mixed in the roller and how do I put more in when it runs out. I am confused!?

        Hi JoAnn,

Yes, the roller bottle already has the carrier oil mixed in. When the roller bottle is empty, the little plastic roller pops out, and you can pour more essential oil and carrier oil in.

            Hi Nina,
I don’t recommend ingesting it. These oils are 100% Pure, and they’re therapeutic grade, so they’re very potent. I would only recommend ingesting them under the careful observation of a trained professional. Here’s a link with some really good instructions on how to use essential oils. Hi Ashley,
I use it on my kids, and they’re both under 6 years old. Just make sure you speak with your healthcare provider. I don’t know you or your children’s health story, so I can’t really make those recommendations. Your kids could be more sensitive to some of the oils in this blend, and I wouldn’t want you to have a bad experience with them.

        Hi Nancy,
The 15ml bottle is full, so you’ll need to dilute the Immunity blend in another bottle. Since I use the roll on pretty frequently, I end up refilling mine quite a bit. When refilling the roll on, put 6-9 drops of Immunity blend in, then fill the rest of the way with a carrier oil, like coconut oil. The big bottle of Immunity blend is for diffusing, or refilling the roll on.

I hate using chemicals in my house with my little guys running around touching everything. This makes me feel like such a better mom 🙂

            Hi Linda,
You can, but the fractionated coconut oil is in liquid form so it makes for easier blending. I’ve used olive oil before with good results, and it’s less comedogenic so it won’t be as likely to clog your pores if you use it somewhere other than your feet.

for example: oregano can NOT be used on pets as it is considered a “hot” oil. Also you can’t use spearment, peppermint is ok. You’ve gotta do your research and some info is condradictory. And note; EO for cats is really limited.

      Hi Wanda,

While their oils are sourced from farms that do not use pesticides or chemicals, they haven’t yet gone through the process to certify them as “organic”. However, they go through an extensive process of testing to confirm the oils are 100% Pure. Please remember, that in essential oils, an “organic” stamp does not guarantee purity. Make sure any oils you used have been put to the test for purity. I’m sure if you contact the company, they can provide more insight into their testing procedures.

      Hi Beverly,

Great question! Since I’m using this on my kids, it’s important to me that the oils are 100% pure. When I contacted Terra Pure about it, the assured my that their oils go through rigorous testing (GC/MS, Microbial, and Organoleptic testing) by a third party to determine the purity of their Immunity Blend. They even provide the reports if you ask for it! Let me know if you have any more questions!

Hi Anna How do you use it on your children? I’m new to essential oils and want to help my children. Do you use it on any certain part of their body? And what do you use to help fight colds? Is there a diagram or model that shows where we should put oils on ourselves or our children? Sorry so many questions. Thank you for your help.

          Hi Kari,

As always, when using a new natural supplement, check with your healthcare provider before beginning. They have a more intimate knowledge of you and your children’s health story. Most of the time, I just diffuse it in my home. That seems enough to keep all but the most stubborn seasonal threats away. If my kids get sick, I will use a very low dilution on their feet. Usually a 0.5% dilution, which is 1 drop in a 10ml roller bottle. I’m not sure what dilution the pre-diluted roller bottle is, but I think it’s stronger than that, so I wouldn’t use that one on my kids, I just use it on myself. You can refill it with a 0.5% dilution though, once you’ve used it up. When I use it on myself, it’s on my feet, usually daily. If I’m feeling symptoms, I also use it where those are, like my chest or neck, or wherever I’m feeling discomfort. As for seasonal threats, I use the Immunity blend to relieve symptoms of it. And now I’ve answered all of your questions out of order, haha! I hope you don’t mind. If you have any more, keep ’em coming!

      Hi Edna,

First, I would talk to your healthcare provider before using it on your daughter. They’ll have her full health story, and be able to advise you better than I could. They may recommend you use a diluted solution topically, but the safest way to use oils around kids, and the rest of your family, is by diffusing it. Just remember not to put your kids directly under the mist from the diffuser. Good luck!

          Hi Nancy,

I’ve wondered about this too. I read up a little, and most humidifier manufacturers say not to use essential oils in their humidifiers. Essential oils are very concentrated, and sometimes they can degrade plastic, which is why the oils are packaged in glass. I would check with the manufacturer to see what their recommendation is.

            Hi Jennifer,

The diffusers were manufactured to handle essential oils, and most humidifiers aren’t. Checking with the manufacturer of your humidifier is the safest route to make sure you don’t damage it.

Great questions! You’re right, you shouldn’t use these oils undiluted. It can cause sensitivity. Terra Pure offers a pre-diluted roller bottle, or you can get the bottle and dilute it yourself. Thankfully, their oils are never tested on animals, so you can rest easy knowing no furbabies were harmed in the making. 😉

Careful, some of the ingredients are hot oils. The thing I’m not keen on is that if you do have a reaction, you don’t know which oil because you haven’t tried them individually. Many moms want to use something like this for their little ones, but you have to be very careful with the cinnamon, peppermint, oregano……just fyi…or you will have very unhappy little ones!

      Hi Kathy,

You are correct, Terra Pure Immunity Blend does use oils that are considered “hot” as these are the premier immune supporting oils. Whenever using topically, always dilute with a carrier oil. If using on kids, I would recommend starting with a dilution ratio of .05% and work up from there to test sensitivity. The safest and easiest way to use around children and the entire family is to diffuse the oils into the air. Just remember to never place children directly into the stream of air.

      Hi Janis,

I use it regularly. Like every day. Less is more when it come to oils, and a little bit every day is the best way to keep any kind of funkiness away. So I diffuse it in my home throughout the day. When I’m feeling a little “off”, I’ll apply a diluted solution to the bottoms of my feet. Sometimes twice a day on my feet is enough, but sometimes I use it every 4 hours or so if I’m really not feeling so hot. Using it in a homemade cleaner also helps keep my family feeling their best. Put 1-2 drops for every 1/2 ounce of water into a spray bottle, shake it up and spray. I like to use it on doorknobs and faucet handles and any other place those little critters might be lingering.

      Hi Rhonda,

I don’t think the company recommends ingesting it. There are much better ways for you to get their benefits. Honestly, the rollers aren’t just for kids, I use it myself. The good thing about applying it topically, is that one of the best places to put it is on the bottom of your feet, so you won’t have to smell it if it’s too strong for you. You could also make a cleaner out of it. The smell doesn’t linger long after it dries, so that could be a good option too. Hope this helps!

While they are sourced from farms that do not use pesticides or chemicals, they haven’t yet gone through the process to certify their oils as “organic”. However, they go through an extensive process of testing to confirm their oils are 100% Pure through GC/MS and organoleptic testing to make sure there are no pesticides or adulterants in our product. Please remember, that in essential oils, an “organic” stamp does not guarantee purity. Make sure any oil you use has been GC/MS tested for purity.

      Hi Debra,

I like to diffuse it. It’s safe for the whole family that way. I also like to use it on the bottoms of my feet before bed, just like you said, but listen to your body and apply it where you feel necessary. Just make sure not to get it in your eyes! Another way to use it is in homemade cleaners. They’re nontoxic, and they get the job done. Just use 1-2 drops for every 1/2 ounce in a spray bottle, shake vigorously, and clean up shop! Let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks for reading!

    Is this organic?

      • Anna Collins
      • August 25, 2016
      Reply

      Hey Suzanne,

Okay, here’s the deal on “organic” as I understand it. It’s a certification from the government that guarantees your product was grown without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. It requires a bunch of paperwork and stuff. Now. I know that the plants these oils come from are all grown without those synthetic fertilizers or pesticides or any chemicals, and the oils that come from them go through a whole slew of tests to make sure they’re 100% pure. So while they may not be certified organic, yet, because I think they may be working on it, they’re still pure, and held to the highest standards so they have the highest therapeutic value. If you’re every worried about the purity of something, ask the company you’re buying from for a GC/MS test. Most companies will be happy to oblige.

That’s a great question, and I had no idea how to answer it, so I contacted the company. So they do process tree nuts in the same facility (coconuts and almonds for carrier oils) however they aren’t processed on the same line as the essential oils. At this point, I think it’s up to your personal judgement. Hope this helps!

      Reply

      Hi Terri,

Yes you do! So the roller is already diluted with a carrier oil. They use fractionated coconut oil for that. If you’re applying oil from the 15ml bottle topically, you’ll need to dilute it first. A carrier oil is just some kind of oil used to dilute essential oils so you don’t experience any sensitivity. It can be coconut oil, olive oil, jojoba oil, or some other kind, there’s lots of different kinds, and which one you use just depends on your preference. I like fractionated coconut oil because it’s light, and it absorbs quickly into the skin. Oh, and here’s a link to the chart I use when I’m diluting my oils. Let me know if you have any more questions!

      Hi Laura,

I imagine there are a few reasons behind the pricing. From what I understand so far of the essential oil world, there is a wide range of difference in the quality of oils. 100% pure oils that are strategically sourced are more expensive than oils you may find in a retail store. Also, quality is expensive. Personally, I wouldn’t trust my family’s immunity with anything less than therapeutic and 100% pure essential oils.

I am an LMT and have been using essential oils at home and in my practice for years. For calming I love both Clary Sage and Lavendar, usually separately. I personally was poisoned with pesticides back in 1989 and have a very low immune system which is also confused as it has caused a number of auto-immune diseases. Fall/Winter are the worst for me as I seem to catch everything that blows in the wind, and because of my low functioning immune system it takes me 2-3 times as long to get over something than a healthy person. I am putting in a personal order for myself right now. My question is; Will the company offer bulk order discounts for heath care practitioners in the future? If so, I would definitely be interested in offering these products to my clientele. (please add me to your list).

I recently got the Immunity Oil, mostly to make myself unattractive to yellow jackets. A side benefit to a wonderful product. Last week I started getting sick, cough, sneezing, stuffy head. I treated myself with the Immunity Oil, Airborne and old fashioned Vicks Vapo Rub. Normally, I use the later 2 items and suffer through for 3 to 5 days with a cold. This time, around noon the next day, I realized the cold was gone. The only difference was the oil. I plan to continue using it – and I haven’t been attacked by yellow jackets either. And I was a magnet for them prior to using this.

Do NOT use undiluted essential oils on children! They can burn and cause serious damage. Essential oils should never be used undiluted. They should not be used in a diffuser in a classroom either. How someone can do this to their child is beyond me. Obviously, they were told to do this by the MLM companies. Sales is their bottom line folks! They don’t care, just as long as they make sales. As a Certified Aromatherapist with 25+ years of experience and 1700 school hours, I find articles likes this abhorring.

I understand your frustration! I would never use them undiluted on my kids, nor would I ever recommend it. When my kids aren’t feeling well, I’ll apply a 0.5% dilution to their feet, and I diffuse it. The only reason I know how to do this is because the company recommended it to me this way. They’re not an MLM, and it seems like they really care about their customers having a good experience with essential oils.

      Hi Jennifer,

So I checked up on the quality of the oils once I started using them on my family. What I found out was that they are therapeutic quality, and they are 100% Pure, which means there were no chemicals, pesticides, or other adulterants used in the growing or production process. The oils are put through GC/MS, organoleptic, and microbial testing by a third party, Essential Oil University. They are not certified organic, however they were produced using those standards and I think the company may be in the process of getting certified, though I’m not totally sure, so don’t quote me on that. The more I look into the essential oil world, the more I start to feel a bit of decision paralysis myself, so I totally know what you mean. This might be a good option for you! I’ve certainly been happy with it. Let me know if you have any more questions.

      Hi Emily,

I would recommend contacting your healthcare provider before using it on anyone under 6 years old. I probably wouldn’t even entertain using it on anyone under 6 months old. They’re very strong substances, and babies have new and sensitive systems.

I wouldn’t use it on her until she’s at least 6 months old, and even after that I would speak to your healthcare provider about using it. Babies and young children have more sensitive skin than adults.

      Hi Debra,
Sorry it took me a while to get back to you! I finally got a chance to ask someone more qualified to answer, and yes, it is safe to diffuse around pets. Just don’t apply it topically unless you speak with your vet first. I know that essential oils shouldn’t be applied topically to cats like at all, and there are other such restrictions on other animals. Let me know if you have any more questions!

I like to diffuse it in my home most days. Diffusing is the safest and gentlest way for everyone in your family to use essential oils. If my kids need it though, I’ll apply a 0.5% dilution to their feet when they’re experiencing symptoms. Here’s the dilution chart I use: http://www.terrapureoils.com/dilution-chart/ Let me know if you have any more questions!

I recommend you continue working with your healthcare providers. Essential oils are amazing substances and can help with many things, but they can interact with come medications. It’s possible it could be okay to use, but I would definitely ask your doctors first, they’ll know your full health story. I use mine daily. I use the pre-diluted roll-on on my feet once a day, and put on a pair of socks for a bit to let it soak in. If I’m feeling “off”, I’ll apply it anywhere from twice a day, to up to every 4 hours, depending how I feel. I’ll also apply it where I’m feeling symptoms, like my chest or throat. I also diffuse it in my home almost daily so the rest of my family can enjoy it’s benefits.

      Hi Hobs,
You should ask your healthcare provider before using it on children under 6. Their systems are still developing and essential oils are powerful substances. Special care should be given when using them on anyone, but especially little ones. When properly diluted, they can be an excellent tool for supporting our bodies.

      Hi Sarah,
Okay, so a couple things. There are healthcare providers out there who are becoming more open to alternative therapies. I was lucky enough to stumble on one myself, but it may take some searching. As far as the oils being organic, I’ve been told that there are no chemicals or pesticides used in making these essential oils, making them technically organic, but they haven’t gone through the process of getting them certified yet, which involves a lot of paperwork, time, and money. They thoroughly tested using GC/MS, microbial, and organoleptic testing to make sure they’re 100% pure.

      Hi Kay,
I’ve heard some people have good luck with it for that particular purpose. It will most likely help relieve symptoms, but it can’t take you allergies away, unfortunately. For you furbaby, diffusing it and using it in cleaners should be safe around them. Just don’t put them under the mist from the diffuser. I also wouldn’t use it topically on them unless you speak with your veterinarian first. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

      Hi Sintia,
While their oils are sourced from farms that do not use pesticides or chemicals, they have not yet gone through the process to certify their oils as “organic”.  However, they go through an extensive process of testing to confirm their oils are 100% Pure through GC/MS and organoleptic testing to make sure there are no pesticides or adulterants in their product.  Please remember, that in essential oils, an “organic” stamp does not guarantee purity.  Make sure any oil you use has been GC/MS tested for purity.

Since I checked with my healthcare provider I’ve been using it on my kids (who are under 6) with no issue. I usually diffuse it in my home, almost daily, so the whole family can benefit. Occasionally I use the roll-on for their feet when I feel they really need it. Just be sure to keep it away from their face and nose. For myself, I roll it on my feet daily, then put a pair of socks on to let it soak in. If I’m feeling under the weather, I’ll apply it wherever I’m feeling symptoms, like my neck or chest.
