A mother’s biggest concern is always her children’s happiness, and she can go to great lengths to ensure this. While she is always looking out for ways to make her child happy, there are at least a few things that she knows for sure will bring a smile to their face. One of them is throwing a wonderful birthday party!
Sadly, birthday parties are not as simple as they used to be in our childhood days. So, you need to put in a little extra thought and effort to make your child’s birthday party a fun-filled and memorable event not only for them, but for all the guests as well.
To help you out, I’ve come up with a list of some ideas that made my kids happy.
Let Your Child Show Their Creative Side
Let your child show their creative side on the invitation cards. Cut plain cards and give them to your child to either draw something related to the theme or to decorate them with stickers and pictures. This will not only make your child happy, but will also give the invitation cards a personalized touch.
Have a Theme
While it is not necessary to have a theme for your child’s birthday party, it will give a personalized touch to it and your child will love when everything in the party reflects their favourite cartoon show, character, or superhero. Do not forget to involve your child and ask their opinion or preference.
Here are some of the themes that my kids have enjoyed: Princess, Mickey & Minnie Mouse, SpongeBob, Winnie the Pooh, Sesame Street, Spiderman, Superman, Batman, Angry Birds, Star Wars, Frozen, Harry Potter and Pokémon
Do Not Miss the Games
Children hate to sit idle and do nothing. So, it is really important to arrange multiple games to keep entertaining them during the party. You can arrange traditional games like painting, treasure hunts, musical chairs, or go for something completely new!
On a particularly warm night, you can also let them watch their favorite movie under the stars.
Now, go throw a party!
